Township Tax Levy Hearing 

The Board of Trustees met at the Medina Township Office

located at 10628 N. Galena Road, Mossville, Illinois on November 11th, 2020

Purpose: Township Tax Levy Hearing – Fiscal Year 2020 – 2021 (Ord. No. TL-21)

Present: John H. Dawson, Supervisor

Shawn E. Garner, Clerk

Richard Clinch, Trustee

Mike Molohon, Trustee

Adam Gudat, Trustee

Cam Parr, Trustee

Other Officials and Township Staff Present: None

Others In Attendance:  3

Public Input:  Supervisor Dawson opened floor for public input with no request received.

Call To Order: The hearing was called to order at 6:15 PM by Supervisor, Dawson who then presented the following proposed Medina Township Tax Levy (Ord. No. TL-20 for fiscal year April 1, 2020 thru March 31st, 2021).

Township Tax Levy Summary:

General Corporate Tax – $520,000

Audit Fund – $0

Insurance Fund – $0

IMRF Fund – $15,000

Social Security Fund – $10,000

Park Fund – $70,000

General Assistance Fund – $1,000

Total Taxes Levied             $ 616,000

There being no objection to the proposed levy, Trustee Parr moved to approve Ordinance No. TL-21, seconded by Trustee Gudat.  Supervisor Dawson then instructed Clerk, Garner to take a roll-call vote with Trustees, Clinch, Molohon, Gudat and Parr and Supervisor Dawson voting “Aye”.  The motion passed by unanimous “Aye” vote.

There being no further business, the Township Tax Levy Hearing was adjourned at 6:30 pm by Supervisor, Dawson.
