Purpose: Regularly Scheduled Board Meeting

Call To Order: Supervisor Garner called the meeting to order at 6:00 PM.
Minutes:
Clerk Sundermeyer presented the minutes of the Regular Board Meeting held August 11, 2021.
Trustee Greene moved to approve the minutes as presented. Trustee Gerke seconded this motion.
The motion was passed by a unanimous “Aye” voice vote. Trustee Parr abstained.
Community Policing Report:
Deputy Ben Davison gave the report for the month of August. He reported that there were 73
reports made: 7 thefts, 4 trespassing charges, 2 property damage charges and other charges
resulted. Tuesdays seem to be the busiest day of the week.
Public Input:
Clerk Sundermeyer received no requests for public input.
Old Business
Medina Office Exterior Door Replacement:
Supervisor Garner advised that both the front and rear doors were replaced. The threshold is
ADA compliant.
New Business
Supervisor Garner proposed that Jeff Greene be appointed to the Planning Commission. Trustee
Parr seconded the motion. The motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote. Trustee Cindy
Greene abstained.
Supervisor Garner brought bids for work to be done at the ball fields. Discussion followed.
Supervisor Garner made a motion that we use Harry Miller & Sons to do the work proposed for
time and materials not to exceed $10,000. Trustee Molohon seconded this motion. It was
unanimously approved by a voice vote.
Department Reports
Supervisor Garner:
1. State Sexual Harassment Training: Must be completed by all board members before
the end of September. Turn the certificates of completion in to the Clerk.
2. Investment Report: The Investment Report ending on September 8th, 2021 was
previously presented to the board.
3. Town Budget: The Amended Township Budget and Road District Budget will be voted
on prior to the Regular October Board meeting on October 13th. A legal notice was
placed in the Peoria Journal Star on September 10th and the amended budgets will be on
display at the township office from September 13th until October 13 during regular
township office hours.
4. Annual Audit: Hjerpe & Tennison has completed the audit for the fiscal year ending
March 2021. The report was given to all of the Trustees. A representative from Hjerpe &
Tennison will be at the Board meeting next month to give the trustees a verbal report.
5. RK Dixon: has given a quote for the Township printing needs. This includes 2 copiers
and a lower rate for copies. This company is also local which is a plus. Our current
contract with Ricoh will expire in February of 2022 and they are no longer in town.
Supervisor Garner will present this at the October Board meeting.
6. Ball Fields: Mossville is hosting the IESA Regional on September 15, 18, 19, 21 and 25.
Field 4 was vandalized with a police report filed #21-5472.
7. Pre-Annexation Agreement with the City of Peoria: Harry Miller must obtain this in
order to subdivide his property on Dickson Lane because it is within 1.5 miles of a City
of Peoria boundary. The township has been notified of this Agreement. This Agreement
does not change the boundaries of the township.
Road Commissioner, Frank Sturm, II:
1. Horowitz started on the Miscellaneous Concrete Project.
2. UCM did seal coating work in Devinwood. Overlay work will begin next week.
3. Ameren has finished gas main work in Lake of the Woods. Their contractor, MERC is
doing the concrete restoration work. MERC will also do some work for Medina Road.
4. No word on new trucks. Commissioner Sturm expects to hear something soon.
5. Commissioner Sturm is working on the amended Road Budget and will have it ready for
review by September 13th at the Township Office.
6. IL American Water is installing a new water main along Mossville Rd. The Road District
is getting numerous calls about the project since IL Am Water did not inform residents of
this project.
7. The phone line for the Road District Garage from Frontier has finally been fixed. The
road district was without phone service for 6 months.
Trustees:
No reports

Pay Township Bills
Township/Road District Bills Audited: All bills of the Town and the Road District were
approved for payment. Trustee Molohon moved to pay the bills, seconded by Trustee Gerke
followed by a unanimous “Aye” voice vote.
Adjournment: There being no further business to come before the board, Trustee Molohon
moved to adjourn, seconded by Trustee Parr, followed by a unanimous “Aye” voice vote. The
meeting adjourned at 6:43 PM.
