Public Input: None
Old Business: Luthy plots – 4 lots of 27 acres apiece are landlocked. Shawn has our lawyer looking into options for granting an easement to these properties.
New Business:
- IVC Youth Athletics has asked for money to make improvements to the Medina Park ball fields. In the past, we have paid for or provided material with the IVCYA providing volunteer labor. Courtney Burcar, president of IVCYA, came to present some plans they are requesting to improve the park. They would like to build Field 5 back up for a youth or slow pitch field or practice field. A playground nearby would also be nice. The travel board would like to widen the batting cages. They can get 8 volunteers to spread material on the fields. Kelly Seed estimate is $1170.00 for grass seed and materials. Shawn made a motion to approve this expenditure. Luke seconded. A roll call vote was taken: Shawn – Aye, Luke – Aye, Cindy – Aye, Adam – Aye. The motion passes.
- County regulations require that the land at Wheaton St be brush hogged, sprayed and grass seed planted. Kelch Landscaping will do this work for us.
- The audit report from Hjerpe and Tennison was passed out to the Trustees for review.
Department Correspondence:
Supervisor Shawn Garner:
- Investment Report: The report ending on November 12th, 2025, was previously presented to the board.
- There is one General Assistance (GA) case.
- There are no cases before the Plan Commission.
Road Commissioner Frank Sturm:
- Road Shoulders are completed on Fairview St.
- Still waiting for the one leaf machine part to arrive. The leaf pick up is going well.
- Frank responded to the collection agency regarding the last Frontier invoice. He has not received an answer yet. Frontier is still billing us $400 for a fax machine line that did not exist.
- The chassis for the new work truck (Ford F550) has arrived. He is talking to Better Banks about financing.
- Nothing new on the Staab Rd bridge.
- Received a quote for repairing the salt dome in the amount of $61,300. That is mostly roof repair. Will consider this for next year.
- A few mailboxes have been damaged during the leaf pick-up. These will be fixed as needed.
- Frank received a very nice letter from someone who noticed and appreciated the miscellaneous concrete project completed this summer.
