Medina Township – Annual Town Meeting

April 8th, 2025 at 7:00pm

 Call to Order / Welcome

 Introduction of Township Officials & Dignitaries Present

Announcements:  Roberts Rules of Order

The balance of the meeting will be conducted by a moderator per state statute.  

Moderator shall be elected by the electorate present.

Mary nominates Jeff Sundermeyer for Moderator. Shawn Garner seconded. The motion passed with a unanimous voice vote.

Shawn Garner made a motion to set the salary for the Moderator at $75. Barb Garner seconded. The motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote.

The clerk then administered the “Oath of Office” to the Moderator. The Moderator takes over the meeting.

Moderator Of Annual Town Meeting

The Moderator presented the agenda for The Annual Town Meeting (ATM). Shawn 

Garner made a motion to approve the agenda. Barb Garner seconded. The motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote.

Jeff called on Mary to read the minutes of the 2024 ATM. Shawn Garner made a motion to accept the minutes as corrected and Barb Garner seconded. The motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote.

Jeff called on Mary to read the minutes of last year’s special meeting held on October 23, 2024. Jeff Greene made a motion to approve the minutes as presented. Barb Garner seconded. The minutes were approved by a unanimous voice vote.

Jeff called on Mary to present the Annual Audit/Treasurer’s Report. Mary reported that the reports were printed and available for anyone to examine. Shawn Garner made a motion to accept the report and Cindy Greene seconded it. The report was accepted by a unanimous voice vote.

OLD BUSINESS: None

NEW BUSINESS:

Adopt Ordinance No. GTO-01-2025 – Establishes Date and Time of 2026 Annual Town Meeting – April 14th, 2026 at 7:00 PM.

Jeff Greene made a motion to approve the ordinance and Cindy Greene seconded. The motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote.

The Moderator was relieved of his duties.

 Shawn made a motion to adjourn the meeting. Cindy seconded. The motion was approved by a unanimous voice vote. The meeting was adjourned at 7:18pm. Thanks to all who attended.
